In this project, students will come together by grade to assemble a nutritious meal for those in need within our community. By engaging in this activity, students not only learn about the importance of empathy and compassion but also gain a deeper understanding of the real-world issue of hunger. Through our service project, students will discover that even small hands can make a big difference in the lives of others, one meal at a time. This project instills valuable leadership skills and fosters a sense of responsibility and empathy in these young hearts.
We had an energetic assembly on Thursday sharing this opportunity with our students. Every 25 cents raised will provide each of our students with an opportunity to package meals during their grade-level sponsored time. I love this program because 100% of the money raised goes directly to packaging meals! This is all possible thanks to the generous sponsorship by Dr. Tim Casey & Dr. Brian Macall with Liberty Lake Smile Source.
We will collect money once a week, on Wednesdays until November 22nd! Please have your child bring their money in the Generation Alive box sent home in Friday Folders. They will turn the money in to the teacher on Wednesdays and Generation Alive and our ASB leadership will give us a weekly count on money raised. If you would prefer to donate online please follow this QR Code on the letter below. If you use the QR code please add your student's name, grade, teacher and Liberty Lake Elementary to the comment box!
