High Winds - Weather Alert

CVSD Families & Staff:

The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for tonight, starting at 10pm until Wednesday at 4pm, which may lead to downed power lines, tree damage, or other impacts throughout the Spokane area.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout. Depending on conditions, if we were to announce a delayed start, we would send a direct phone call, text, and email message to you and a pop-up would appear on your school’s web page or directly on www.cvsd.org/delays.

Please remember that school operates as normal – regardless of weather – unless a school delay or closure announcement is made. If you do not hear from us, you can assume the school day is happening as usual. Our school district varies greatly across our 80 square miles, so please consider the conditions of your own neighorhood and school routes. As always, if your student is unable to get to school safely on time, or at all, please call your school's attendance line to provide an excused absence.

If conditions change after the school day begins, we will communicate further instructions.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate the weather and work in the best interest and safety of our students, families and staff. Stay safe!

Thank you,
